a space for curiosity, transformation and quiet disorientation.
IMITATIONS OF MORTALITY. 2021;2022
October 2025. I enjoy drawing statues because, for me, it’s not about being provocative- it’s about celebrating the beauty and realism of the human form. The artworks I create honor femininity, fertility, and divinity, reflecting cultural ideals of purity and natural perfection.
For example, depictions of goddesses like Aphrodite or Venus often reveal the female form to emphasize these qualities -
symbolising life-giving power and the timeless role of women as creators and nurturers of life
My art is often inspired by metamorphosis - an evolving dialogue between forms and mediums.
The stories are twisted and dark, yet deeply romantic, moving fluidly through time.
My writing mirrors this transformation
> you will also often see inspiration from classic noir films.
TRANSFORMING,
IMITATIONS OF MORTALITY.
How much inhumanity does it take... ...before we access your humanity. Revealing the base animal instincts that flood to the surface when societal conventions break down. Whooping and jumping whilst an older woman watches us move around like maniacs.
In a space drawn to the “ older middle class generation “. Sipping tea in the cafe after walking around the gallery and not feeling disturbed. This unflinchingly — unfolds with such palpable discomfort whilst we fight and act like animals in the National Gallery.
Inspired by Ovid.
